For painting contractors

Google reviews for painting contractors

A homeowner is letting a crew work inside their house for a week, and then looking at the result every day for the next ten years. That is a trust decision and a taste decision at the same time, and reviews are the only evidence they have before they commit.

  • Review request after every job, in your voice
  • Google Business Profile managed every month
  • A real reply to every review
  • Monthly win-back campaign to dropped-off customers

Why it matters here

What's different about painting contractors

Every trade loses customers a different way. Here's how yours does it.

You are asking to bring strangers into the house for a week.

This is not a two-hour service call. A crew is in the living room, moving furniture, around the kids and the dog. A stack of recent reviews from people who let you do exactly that is the only real proof you can offer, and it is worth more than anything you can say about yourself.

You are not losing quotes on price. You are losing them on trust.

Three painters quote within a few hundred dollars of each other, because material costs what material costs. The one with forty recent reviews wins, and it is not close. Being out-trusted looks exactly like being out-priced until you go looking at the profiles.

Interior in winter, exterior in summer, and the same house needs both.

You paint the outside and never hear from them about the kitchen. Your customer list is a repeat-work list that almost nobody in this trade actually works. One email and text a month is the cheapest job you will ever book.

47%
of consumers won't use a business with fewer than 20 reviews.
74%
only look at reviews written in the last three months. Old reviews stop counting.
89%
expect the owner to reply. 80% are more likely to buy from a business that replies to every review.

Questions

Painting-specific questions

Should we ask for the review at the final walkthrough or after?
After, but not long after. At the walkthrough they are still in inspection mode, hunting for touch-ups. A day or two later, once they have lived with it and shown somebody, is when the warm review happens. We time the ask there instead.
Do photos matter as much as people say?
More in this trade than almost any other on our list. Painting is the one service where the result is purely visual and the customer is already photographing it themselves. Reviews with photos, plus a profile full of finished rooms and exteriors, do the selling before the phone ever rings.
We do residential and some commercial repaints. Which does this serve?
Residential. Commercial repaint work is bid and relationship-driven — a strong profile helps you look legitimate when somebody checks, but it will not generate those calls. If you are mostly commercial, the assessment will tell you this is not your channel.

We also work with Pest Control · Roofing · Plumbing · Gyms & Studios · Auto Detailing · all 13 industries →.
